Budget 2025 is an investment Budget. We are making generational investments to build the major infrastructure, homes, and industries that grow our economy and create lasting prosperity.

Canada is in a strong position. We are the only country with trade agreements with every G7 country – giving our businesses unparalleled access to global markets. 

We are an energy superpower, with the third-largest reserves of oil, and fourth largest reserves of natural gas in the world.

We have an 85 per cent clean electricity grid, with vast potential to power the clean economy of the future.

We have the fiscal capacity to draw on these strengths: the strongest credit rating in the world: AAA from S&P and Moody's; the lowest net debt-to-GDP in the G7; the second lowest deficit-to-GDP ratio in the G7; and the lowest longterm interest rates in the G7.

This is our moment–our time to build big, build bold, and build now. It’s time to build Canada Strong.
